The CNC machined hard brass main gear provides excellent strength and long term reliability. This is supported by a sealed 5 plus 1 stainless steel bearing system, helping maintain smooth operation while offering additional protection against saltwater intrusion.

Westin has equipped the W4 C SW with a sealed Carbon Matrix drag system which delivers smooth and controlled pressure throughout the drag range. This provides the finesse required when using lighter tackle while still offering the power needed when a strong fish makes a determined run.

A one piece stainless steel instant anti reverse system engages immediately, giving positive hook sets and a solid feeling when working lures.

The forged aluminium spool is double anodised for increased corrosion resistance and is braid ready straight from the box. Thin spool line markings make it easy to monitor line capacity when loading the reel.

A CNC machined aluminium handle transfers power efficiently through the gearing and is finished with a comfortable TPE handle knob for secure grip in wet and cold conditions.

The W4 C SW incorporates 14 seals and carries an IPX5 rating, providing additional protection against water and salt intrusion during demanding coastal fishing.

The 3000 and 4000 models feature an aluminium body with a lightweight graphite rotor, providing an excellent balance between strength and reduced weight.

The larger 5000 model uses both an aluminium body and aluminium rotor, giving additional rigidity and power for heavier saltwater applications.
