Penn Tidal XT Beach Caster 15ft 9in + Penn Tidal XT 7000 Long Cast Combo

A serious long range beach fishing combination pairing the Penn Tidal XT Beach Caster 15ft 9in with the Penn Tidal XT 7000 Long Cast fixed spool reel.

The extra length of the 15ft 9in Tidal XT makes this an excellent choice for anglers looking for increased casting leverage and line control when fishing open beaches and surf venues. Despite its length, the rod uses a slim, responsive 36T and 40T high modulus carbon blank, reinforced with Penn Carbon X Wrap technology to increase strength and reduce blank twist during the cast.

The rod is rated to cast 4 to 8oz and features saltwater resistant Fuji deep pressed guides with Alconite rings. A glow in the dark tip improves bite detection during low light and night sessions, while the X Shrink casting grip provides a secure hold when putting power into the cast. The 15ft 9in model is a three section rod with a transport length of approximately 163cm and a weight of approximately 773g.

Paired with the rod is the Penn Tidal XT 7000 Long Cast, a purpose built surfcasting reel designed around smooth, efficient long distance casting.

The lightweight XRC carbon body and rotor provide rigidity without unnecessary weight, while Penn's CNC gearing delivers strength and smooth operation. The special long cast spool combined with X Slow Leveline oscillation creates exceptionally even line lay, helping line leave the spool cleanly during the cast.

For fish playing performance, the reel uses a sealed drag system with HT 100 carbon washers and Penn's Quick Drag system. The Tidal XT 7000 also features 9+1 sealed bearings, a 4.8:1 gear ratio and a maximum drag of 12kg. An aluminium spare spool and two sets of line reducers are also supplied.
