Designed for anglers looking for excellent casting distance, power and control, this setup combines Penn’s slim high modulus carbon Tidal XT beach rod with a lightweight long cast reel developed specifically for surf and shore fishing.

The 14ft Tidal XT offers additional length and leverage for distance casting while retaining a slim, responsive feel. Its 36T and 40T high modulus carbon construction is reinforced with Carbon X Wrap technology, helping increase strength while reducing blank twist during the cast.

Fuji deep pressed guides with Alconite rings provide reliable line management and are suitable for saltwater use. The rod also features Penn’s X Shrink casting grip and a highly visible glow in the dark tip for improved bite detection during evening and night sessions.

Paired with the rod is the Penn Tidal XT 7000 Long Cast, a lightweight fixed spool reel designed specifically for distance beach casting. Its Rocket Spool Design and X Slow Leveline oscillation system produce extremely even line lay, helping line leave the spool smoothly and efficiently during the cast.

The reel uses a rigid but lightweight XRC carbon body and rotor together with precision CNC gearing. A sealed drag system incorporating HT 100 carbon drag washers provides smooth and dependable drag performance while offering increased protection against water, sand and dirt.

With 9+1 sealed bearings, Quick Drag, a 12 kg maximum drag and 98 cm of line recovery per handle turn, the Tidal XT 7000 provides the power and smoothness needed for demanding shore fishing.
