Weymouth Pairs Boat Fishing Competition
28–30 October 2026
Event HQ: Weymouth Angling Society Clubhouse – registration, boat draw and prize giving.
Updates and Day 1 results will be posted on the Pairs Facebook Page.
Competition Format & Scoring
The competition is fished over two days using a points-based species system.
- Each pair may record two fish of each species per day.
- 1 point for the first fish of a species.
- 2 points for the second fish of the same species.
- Two of the same species = 3 points total.
- Day 2 uses a new score sheet, so species can be scored again.
- Scores are accumulated over both days.
If scores are tied:
- The team with the greatest number of species wins.
- If still tied, prize money is shared.
Boat Draw & Team Positions
- Pairs will be drawn to fish in two positions on the same boat.
- Teams cannot fish on the same boat on consecutive days.
- Teams’ boats and boat positions are drawn at registration.
- Pairs may interchange positions throughout the day.
- Anglers in Position 1 and Position 4 will act as the overall boat captains.
